Mini Gold Cup at Silver Dollar Speedway Cancelled
Chico, California — April 8, 2026 — Silver Dollar Speedway has announced the cancellation of the upcoming Mini Gold Cup event, originally scheduled to take place this weekend, April 10th and 11th. The decision was made after careful consideration of the current unsettling weather patterns and rain with thunderstorms coming into the Chico region starting tonight and lasting through Sunday. With today’s cancellation, this year’s Mini Gold Cup will not be rescheduled later this year.
“This was not an easy decision,” said a Brad Sweet of Silver Dollar Speedway and SLC Promotions. “The Mini Gold Cup is an event we value deeply, but we all agreed that it was the best decision for teams, fans, and everyone involved to cancel this weekend.”
Fans who purchased tickets in advance will automatically be refunded on the card they bought the tickets with. The refund takes about 24 to 48 hours.
The Mini Gold Cup was set to feature the first of many visits by the NARC 410 Sprint Cars for two nights. On Friday the Rental Guys Hobby Stocks and Sport Mods were ready to hit the track for their first time. On Saturday night, the BCRA Lightning Sprints were set to accompany the NARC 410 Sprint Cars.
With track schedules and traveling series already locked into their 2026 place, SLC Promotions did not see an upcoming weekend that would work to reschedule the Mini Gold Cup. “We looked at some different upcoming dates to accommodate the drivers and fans, but nothing was available that seemed to work for all involved,” said Sweet.
