Rental Guys Hobby Stock Championship at Chico in 2026
CHICO, Calif., March 17, 2026…The excitement of Hobby Stock racing returns to Silver Dollar Speedway with renewed enthusiasm. SLC Promotions are thrilled to welcome Rental Guys as the title sponsor of the Silver Dollar Speedway Hobby Stock division for 2026. Rental Guys has been serving our communities since 1959, with 13 different locations in Northern California and Northern Nevada. With a selection of over 6,000 rental products, every project, regardless of shape or size, can be found at Rental Guys.
The Rental Guys Hobby Stock division will feature a total of 8 events in 2026. With the newly formed partnership, championship points will be kept all season long. At the end of the season, the overall point champion will receive $1,000. Second, in points will receive $500. Third, in points will receive $250. SLC Promotions will also present the overall winner with a championship jacket.
On top of the overall top three earning extra money, Rental Guys and SLC Promotions are offering $250 to each of the following: driver with most heat race wins, driver who gained the most positions in main events throughout the season, and best overall crew (voted by their peers).
The Rental Guys Hobby Stock division will feature eight nights of racing. The first point show is scheduled for Wednesday night, April 1st. A month later the division races on May 8th. The Rental Guys Hobby Stocks are showcased at the Silver Dollar Fair on May 22nd and 23rd. July things heat up with two nights of action. The first night is July 17th and is followed up with a July 31st night of racing. The season will come to a climatic end with two back-to-back nights of championship racing on September 25th and 26th. On the 26th, a track champion will be crowned.
“We are looking forward to another competitive and exciting year of Rental Guy Hobby Stock racing,” said track announcer Troy Hennig. “Chico provides a great racing surface and the opportunity for these teams to race in front of big crowds, showcased on Flo Racing, and the chance to win extra money this season.” Silver Dollar Speedway follows the Marysville Raceway rule book with two exceptions. We do not allow passengers to ride, but we do allow Floaters. Championship points will be posted after each race.
Silver Dollar Speedway is located at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico, CA. This season, SLC Promotions will host over 20 events in 2026 and is best known for hosting the upcoming 72nd Gold Cup Race of Champions in August.
