Full Speed Ahead for Silver Cup at Chico
PRESS RELEASE (February 27, 2026) …All eyes will be on Silver Dollar Speedway March 6 and 7 with the annual Silver Cup Race of Champions set to jumpstart the 2026 dirt track racing season. This must-see twin billing features the Winged 360 sprint cars and the Nor Cal Dwarf Cars. Each night brings the opportunity to get out of the house, enjoy the sights and sounds of big-time auto racing at the famed quarter-mile clay oval speedway.
Many of the best winged 360 sprint car drivers on the West Coast are geared to converge at the Dollar. The sprint cars have been a mainstay at the Silver Cup since 1990. Since then, a who’s who of sprint car drivers have won this event. Names like Kasey Kahne in 1998, Rico Abreu in 2014, and most recently Tanner Holmes in 2025. It will be great to have the Dwarfs Cars returning to the Silver Cup. The last time the Dwarf Cars competed at the Silver Cup was in 2022 and Mike Grenert won the Saturday night finale.
FAN INFORMATION: Front gate will open at 5 PM for Friday night March 6th. On Saturday night, March 7th, the front gate will open at 4 PM. HAPPY HOUR will take place at the Farmers Brewing Co. beer booth on Saturday from 4 PM to 6 PM. ON TRACK RACING: Friday March 6 Pit Meeting 5:15 PM. Cars are scheduled on track at 6 PM for hot laps. Qualifying for winged 360 sprint cars set for 6:30 PM. Racing to follow. Saturday March 7, Pit Meeting 4:45 PM. Cars on track at 5:30 PM. Winged 360 sprint car qualifying slated to start at 6 PM. Racing to follow.
CAMPING: Overnight camping is available this weekend. Each night is $50. As with the past few seasons, camping is only available on pit road or over by the RC Track near Costco. Please pay at the pit gate or a representative from SLC Promotions will come to collect the money.
RACE TEAMS: Please take Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy to access the road by Costco to enter the pit gate. The pit gate will open at 3 PM on Friday. On Saturday, the pit gate will open at 2 PM.
Grandstand Pricing: This year, SLC Promotions has lowered its pricing and is offering one simple flat fee. Friday night, March 6th, general admission (13 and up) is $15 at the front gate. Children 12 and under are FREE. Saturday night, March 7th, general admission (13 and up) is $20 at the front gate. Children 12 and under are FREE. If general admission tickets are purchased online, each ticket will have a $1.55 service fee added to the price.
If fans cannot attend, Flo Racing has us covered. The Silver Dollar Speedway will be live streamed on the Flo Racing platform for 2026.
