The Demon Takes "Gold Cup" Victory at Chico

AMSOIL USAC/CAR Sprint Car series point leader Damion Gardner of Concord, Calif. passed Brady Bacon on lap 24 and led the final seven laps to win Thursday night’s “Gold Cup Race of Champions” feature at Silver Dollar Speedway. Trailing Gardner’s Mark Alexander Scott Sales Company/Weld Racing Spike/J & D at the checkered flag were AMSOIL USAC National Sprint leader Bacon, Thomas Meseraull, Ryan Bernal and Danny Faria Jr. Gardner leads the All Coast Construction California Sprint Week standings to Saturday’s race at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, Calif.
