Single Day Gold Cup Tickets On Sale August 15th

CHICO, CA (8-12-14) - The 61st Anniversary Gold Cup Race of Champions is fast approaching. Single day reserved seating tickets for the event scheduled for September 3rd-6th go on sale this Friday, August 15th at 9:00am. To purchase your single day reserved seating tickets you may call the track office at (530)-350-7275. You may also call the track office if you would still like to purchase the four day ticket pack. General Admission tickets will also be available for this event all four nights. You can purchase those tickets the day of the event at the track ticket booth. Thursday, September 4th after the races we will be having a Sprint Car Simulator Challenge Party. There will be Prize Money up for grabs in the Sprint Car Simulator Challenge. This event will be taking place directly behind the Main Grandstand shortly after the conclusion of the evenings races. During the party we will have Live Music provided by a local favorite band, by the name of Decades. Decades, is a band out of Chico, CA who perform hit songs from the 1940's up to today's hit music. There will also be Food & Drinks served during this event.

Friday, September 5th will tee off in the morning with Clyde Lamar's Gold Cup Golf Classic. This event will take place at the Bidwell Park Golf Course located at 3199 Golf Course Rd in Chico. Sign in for this event is from 7:00 am-8:00 am, with a shotgun start at 8:30 am. Friday night after the races we will be hosting a Fan Appreciation Night featuring our Annual Chili Feed and Miss Gold Cup Bikini Contest. This event always draws a great crowd and will take place in the Pavilion shortly after the completion of the races.

Saturday, September 6th we will kick off the final day of the 61st Anniversary Gold Cup with the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation/Kick-It for Kids with Cancer Kickball Game presented by Kaeding Performance. This will be the third time we have held this event here during Gold Cup. All the money raised goes to help with children's cancer research. All proceeds raised during this game will be matched by Jeff Gordon. In the first two years of this event there has been nearly $70,000 raised total. The game is scheduled to begin at 11:00am and will be held in the Pavilion. We look forward to seeing another stellar crowd for this great fundraiser. From 12:00pm-2:00pm the Annual JP's Paint & Body Works/Danielson Co. fan appreciation BBQ will take place right out front of the Pavilion in appreciation of the great fans of the Gold Cup.
