Riebe's Auto Parts Night
CHICO, CA (8-10-09) -Â Riebe's Auto Parts will continue their annual sponsor night at Silver Dollar Speedway this Friday, August 14. The ASA Sanctioned Silver Dollar Speedway will host 410 sprints, dirt modifieds and dwarf cars. It will mark point race #19 during the Feather Falls Casino championship series. Attention to all fans. Only three more nights of weekly championship racing at the speedway until the 2009 point season is over.
Racing is set to begin at 7 pm. Sprint car qualifying will be the first agenda of the night. Front grandstand gate will open at 6 pm. Pit gate opens at 4 pm. Adult general admission into the main grandstand is $12.00. Juniors and seniors are $10.00 with children $5.00. After the racing action fans are invited to meet and greet their favorite drivers in the pit area.
The dirt modifieds return after a week off. Fans are still buzzing about the dramatic finish when Ryan McDaniel ended Mark Abouzeid's driver for six in a row. Abouzeid still holds a commanding lead over second place Darin Ruley in the points. Fifteen points separate the two top drivers.
The dwarf cars make their final appearance of the year at the Silver Dollar Speedway. Their last appearance was a barn burner between two of the best dwarf car drivers.
The 410 sprint cars return with Kyle Hirst returning and looking to make it three wins out of the last four starts at Chico. Trying to get back into victory lane will be point leader Bobby McMahan and Mark Hall.
David Larabee is known as a wingless sprint driver. In fact, we featured him on a Silver Dollar minute last week. But during the week he is the manager at the Chico Riebe's on East 20th . Larabee has been an unbelievable supporter of the yearly sponsor nights. His hard work and dedication have been a huge help for the speedway.
