Racing Takes Center Stage at Silver Dollar Fair
CHICO, Calif. May 14, 2026 – The Silver Dollar Speedway will host five different nights of motorsports mayhem during the upcoming Silver Dollar Fair. Starting May 21st, three divisions will race under the bright lights and packed grandstands. The Winged Crate Sprints, Mini Trucks, and Sport Mods take center stage. Crate Sprints will race for a whopping $1,000 to win. The Sport Mods and Mini Trucks get $300 to win. Pit gate opens at 4 PM. Racing starts at 7 PM.
SLC Promotions has worked hard to bring a diverse and exciting motor sports line up to this year’s Fair. “We wanted to offer a wide variety of racing and events,” said Colby Copeland of SLC Promotions. “The fair gives a lot of these teams and drivers a unique opportunity to race in front of a lot of new fans.”
Friday night, May 22nd, the Joe Hunt Magnetos, a non-wing sprint car series, gets the chance to return to the Speedway. Joining them are the local Rental Guys Hobby Stocks.
Saturday May 23rd, the Winged 360 Sprint Cars are set to roll around the famed quarter-mile speedway. With a staggering $3,000 to win, a large car count is expected. The Rental Guys Hobby Stocks will get their second opportunity to race. Both nights of Rental Guys Hobby Stock racing are championship point shows.
Sunday, May 24th, the legendary Tractor Pulls will thunder down the front stretch. This is the second year that the top tractor pulling teams will converge at the Silver Dollar Fair.
Monday, May 25th, the Destruction Derby will conclude five consecutive days of entertainment at the Silver Dollar Speedway. Pit gate opens at 11 AM. The destruction is set to begin at 1 PM.
