Silver Cup is Set for This Weekend
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
February 24, 2025…SLC Promotions is excited to kick off the 2025 racing season with the annual Silver Cup Race of Champions set for February 28th and March 1st. This two-night event will showcase the best of the best 360 sprint car drivers on the West Coast. Each night will be packed with fast cars, lots of great racing, and a chance for fans to get back to the track for family fun entertainment.
In 2022, former longtime promoter of Silver Dollar Speedway, John Padjen’s name was added to the title of Silver Cup. This season, with the family’s blessing, we are removing the Padjen name from this event but now adding their name to the Wednesday night portion of the Gold Cup in August. “We are thrilled and thankful to have the Padjen name associated with this year’s Gold Cup,” said their son Alan.
FAN INFORMATION: Front gate will open at 5 PM for Friday night February 28th. On Saturday night, March 1st, the front gate will open at 4 PM. Qualifying is slated for 7 PM Friday night, and 6 PM for Saturday night. Heat races will begin after qualifying is completed. CAMPING: Overnight camping is available this weekend. Each night is $50. As with the past few seasons, camping is only available on pit road or over by the RC Track near Costco. A representative from SLC Promotions will come to collect the money.
RACE TEAMS: Please take Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy to access the road by Costco to enter the pit gate. The pit gate will open at 2 PM for both nights of racing.
Grandstand Pricing: Friday night, February 28th, adult general admission (18–64) is $20. Seniors (65 and up) and Juniors (13-17) are $15. Children 12 and under are FREE. Saturday night, March 1st, adult general admission in $25. Seniors and Juniors are $20. Children 12 and under are FREE.
