The Silver Dollar Belt is Back; Hobby Stock Rule Update

The Belt is Back for IMCA Sport Mods and Hobby Stocks, Update on Hobby Stock New Regulations
CHICO, Calif., June 26, 2024…Two nights of IMCA Sport Mod and Hobby Stock racing are scheduled for this Friday night, June 28, and July 4 at the famed Silver Dollar Speedway. These drivers will get to showcase their driving abilities in front of large crowds and both races are streamed live on Flo Racing, a company that has 1.5 million subscribers. This year the Speedway has increased the purse for the Hobby Stocks, supplied new bigger trophies to the winners, and offered a Silver Dollar Belt to the Hobby Stock division back in March.
Well, two more belts were purchased, and the belt is back. The Silver Dollar Speedway belt will be awarded to the one driver who accumulates the most points between the June 28 and July 4 races. The belt will be awarded to the overall point winner in the Hobby Stock and IMCA Sport Mod’s after each division’s main event on July 4th. The presentation will take place in front of the oversized Fast Cars and Freedom crowd at the Silver Dollar Speedway. “We wanted to give our Hobby’s and B Mod drivers more visibility within our racing community and the chance to get these drivers more recognition at our track,” said Colby Copeland of SLC Promotions.
Starting this Friday night, the Hobby Stock division is no longer allowed to have passengers ride with the driver. This is a new regulation and a policy change that will be enforced the rest of this season.
