Saturated Grounds Force Cancellation of Chico this Friday Night
(Chico, CA 3/21/19) …A combination of factors has forced the Silver Dollar Speedway to cancel this Friday night, March 22nd. Unfortunately, the pit area is still not up to our standards for the competitors to use and more rain is predicted tonight and tomorrow. The surrounding areas around the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds are also saturated. On top of that, a storm drenched the Chico area during our mid-week preparation and left us with no other choice but to pull the plug on this show and try again next Friday night, March 29th.
Next Friday, March 29th, the winged 360 sprints, IMCA Sport Mods and Street Stocks are scheduled to race.
With that said, we are still very confident that our sister track in Marysville will host a race this Saturday night, March 23rd. Four divisions are on tap led by winged 360 sprint cars, IMCA Pepsi Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks and Super Street Stocks. Pit gate opens at 3 PM. Front grandstand at 5 PM. Cars on track by 6 PM.
