Four Consecutive Nights of Motorsports During Chico Fair
Chico, CA (May 22, 2018) – There will be plenty of motorsports activities held at the Silver Dollar Speedway during the Silver Dollar Fair taking place over this upcoming Memorial Day Weekend. Starting on Friday night, May 25th, with the Super Cross races and ending on Monday night, May 28th, with the demolition derby, this weekend will feature something that all fans can enjoy. The best part about all the entertainment at the Speedway is that it is free once you have paid to get into the fair.
Each day the Silver Dollar Fair admission is $10.00 for adults (13-64), seniors 65 and up $8.00. Child pricing (6-12) is $5.00. Kids five and under are FREE. For times and other activities please visit www.silverdollarfair.org.
On Friday night, the infield and part of the speedway will be transformed into an All-Star Super Cross dirt track filled with jumps and high banked berms. Riders from all ages will entertain the crowd. Grandstands will open at 6 PM. Main events start 7 PM.
There will be 200 reasons to attend the annual Enduro Races on Saturday night. The men and women who race this event are the true warriors of our sport and will have to compete 200 laps if they want to win the Silver Dollar Fair Enduro. This 200-lap race tests the will power and stamina of the drivers and cars. Grandstands open at 6 PM.
Sunday there is a war brewing. The Civil War Sprint Car Series returns to the Silver Dollar Speedway. The race will feature champions like Auburn’s Andy Forsberg, Roseville’s Sean Becker and Chico’s Mason Moore. Over 30 competitors are expected to race for the $2500.00 first place prize money. Racing is scheduled to begin around 6 PM.
Monday at 5 PM the final event is scheduled to take place. The Demolition Derby will feature cars crashing on purpose. The final car that can drive is usually declared the winner.
