2016 Schedule Released for Silver Dollar Speedway

CHICO, CA (1-1-16) - After a brief off season, the staff is pleased and excited to release the 2016 racing schedule. The famous quarter-mile clay oval speedway will host 31 events in 2016. The thrills and spills of dirt track auto racing at the Silver Dollar Speedway will return during the first weekend of March in 2016. The World of Outlaws, USAC, B.C.R.A, King of the West and Civil War Series are just a few of the recognizable organizations that will compete at least one time at Chico in 2016.

Fifteen championship point races are scheduled for 2016. The focal point of the season will once again be the powerful 410 sprint cars. Fans will get the chance to witness the winged 410 sprint cars 17 times in 2016. The speedway will host four consecutive events during the Silver Dollar Fair starting with the May 27th, Friday night Arena Cross Motorcycle event, Saturday�s 200 lap Enduro, Sunday night Civil War Spint Cars and Monday afternoon�s destruction derby. These events are free with paid admission into the Silver Dollar Fair.

Silver Dollar Speedway is proud to continue and host numerous races in honor of fallen race hero�s. Names like Bill Brownell, Dave Bradway Jr., David Tarter, Tyler Wolf and Stephen Allard will once again be associated with sprint car events in the 2016 season.

The Gold Cup Race of Champions will take place in September and feature four consecutive nights of racing. Fans will witness winged and non-wing sprint cars, non-wing midgets and sprint cars with 360 and 410 motors. As always, the World of Outlaws will be showcased on the final two nights of Gold Cup. This year the event begins on September 7th.
