Silver Dollar Speedway to Host Annual Easter Egg Hunt This Friday

CHICO, CA (3-31-15) -Â There will be so many things to do when it comes to racing this Friday night at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA. The Speedway thrives on providing a family fun, entertaining night of racing and activities. Firstly, this Friday will mark the return of weekly 410 sprint car racing at the speedway. Four other divisions will join in on the fun led by the street stocks, mini stocks, limited late models and hobby stocks. Secondly, the speedway will host the annual Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Set up for the event will take place in the grass area behind the turn four bleachers and just to the left of the main entrance. As usual, we will separate the kids by age groups to allow everyone a fair chance to claim their eggs.

The pit gate for the competitors will open at 4 PM. The front gate for the fans will open at 6 PM. Racing is slated to start at 7 PM. The Easter Egg hunt will take place after all five divisions have ran their heat races. There is also a rumor that the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance. There will also be other items for the children to be handed out. Next week the races are at a standstill because of the loud and aggressive Monster Truck event. The next Chuck Patterson point race will take place on April 17.

Point race #2 is presented by Chuck Patterson Dodge of Chico. The 410 sprint cars will attract 20 drivers vying for the $2,000 win. Drivers expected to compete are Rosevilleï¿½ Sean Becker, Auburnï¿½s Andy Forsberg, Princetonï¿½s Mason Moore, Corningï¿½s Bud Walberg and Chicoï¿½s Brad Bumgarner. This year could be the most highly anticipation of a 410 sprint car point season. No less than 10 drivers should be in the mix to win the championship come August.

Friday will also mark the first appearance of 2015 for the Street Stocks, limited late models, mini stocks and hobby stocks. It will be interesting who starts off the year strong and contend for the championship.
