CHICO, CA (8-25-14) - With the early bird incentives for the upcoming 61st Anniversary of the Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico a record amount of pre-entries have been received by the track office. This year promoter Dennis Gage is allowing teams to enter this year's Gold Cup for free if the entry forms are received by August 31st. If a team did not receive one in the mail the forms are easily available for download at http://www.goldcup.silverdollarspeedway.com/. Entry forms for the Wednesday night show and Friday and Saturday night are on our website. Also, by pre-entering the Friday and Saturday night World of Outlaw races, teams will receive up to five pit discount cards for both nights when they show up and race. Teams whose entries are received after August 31st or teams that register at the pit gate on race day will be charged a $100.00 entry fee. The most recent form we received was from two-time and defending Gold Cup champions Jason Meyers of Clovis. The former World of Outlaw champion will once again pilot a Tarlton Motorsports entry.Other entry forms on our website include the 28th Annual Clyde Lamar's Gold Cup Golf Classic. This event starts Friday morning at Bidwell Park Golf Course in Chico. Included in your entry is a fun day of golfing, catered lunch back at the Garden Court located on the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds and a chance to win numerous raffle prizes. Proceeds help benefit the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Iowa.

Miss Gold Cup Bikini Contest entry form is also located on our website. This year the winner will receive $1,000. The event is limited to the first 30 entries. The contest will take place Friday night inside the Silver Dollar Speedway pavilion.

Thursday night post-race party will take place right behind the main grandstands. The popular music band Decades will host a free concert. The Speedway is also proud to host the first simulator race off. Fans will get a chance to race against each other driving one of the four simulators that will feature the Silver Dollar Speedway track. Prize money will be awarded to the top finishing drivers.

Friday, September 5th, do not forget about the 4th Annual BBQ and Open House located at Vintage Hot Rod Design and Fabrication. From 10 AM to 3 PM our friends will host a tour of their amazing shop and free hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks. Vintage Hot Rod Design and Fabrication is located 631 Country Drive. Their shop is less than a mile from the fairgrounds.

Saturday we will facilitate the Jeff Gordon Kick-It game inside the pavilion. This charity races money for children with cancer and features many of the sprint car drivers that are racing on Saturday night. Donations will be raffled off to the fans in attendance.

Right outside the pavilion on Saturday we will host the annual Racers Barbeque presented by The Danielsen Company and JP's Paint and Body Works. The FREE barbeque will take place from noon until the food runs out. Ribs, beans, salad and bread are the usual tasty options for the fans.

This year we will host the Steve Kinser museum. It is located in the same spot the 60th Gold Cup Museum was located. The Steve Kinser museum will feature pictures, memorable and cars with Kinser themes.
