First Annual Play Night this Friday at Speedway
CHICO, CA (3-13-13) -Â Once again promoter Dennis Gage is stepping out of the comfort zone and trying something new for 2013 at Silver Dollar Speedway. For the first time at the track, Gage has scheduled a Play Day for under the lights. This Friday, March 15, practice is going to be held in the night time. "We wanted to give the drivers a chance to practice under the same circumstances that they would encounter on a normal race night," said Gage.
On the track practice will take place from 6 pm until 10 pm Friday night. The pit gate will be open at 4 pm. Fans are encouraged to come out and watch for free in the grandstands. This will be the final tune up for our local teams before the Wells Fargo Point Championship season begins on March 29.
The Mini Gold Cup with take place Saturday, March 23. The nights racing divisions will feature the World of Outlaws and Dwarf cars. Tickets are available for purchase by visiting www.dirtcar.ticketforce.com.
