Mini Stocks Added to Championship Divisions at SDS
CHICO, CA (3-29-12) -Â With the numbers of phone calls from the Mini Stocks division, promoter Dennis Gage has decided to also add them to a growing list of divisions that can no run for a 2012 track championship at the Silver Dollar Speedway. "We have had an abundance of calls from the mini stocks, limited late models and dirt modified divisions over this off-season," said Gage. "It seems to be building a lot of momentum for these racers and hopefully it will translate into good car counts."
For the first time in the history of the Speedway, there will be six separate divisions gunning for a track title. They include the 410 winged sprints, wingless sprints, dirt modifieds, limited late models, street stocks and mini stocks. It is an unprecedented move by a promoter trying to build interest in numerous divisions at the Silver Dollar Speedway.
