CHICO, CA (9-10-11) - Kyle Larson fulfilled a dream at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif. The 19 year old Elk Grove, Calif. native continued an impressive season as he picked up his very first World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series win in one of the season's biggest races, the Gold Cup Race of Champions. Larson started on the pole of the forty lap main event and never looked back.

"Wow," said a speechless Larson as he emerged from his #99 machine. "I would have never dreamed of getting a World of Outlaws win,let alone in a race like this. I've been coming to this race since before I even turned a year old and now I'm standing here holding the Gold Cup. This is absolutely surreal and I can't believe it. I was good until we got to lap traffic and then it got tricky because I was better on the bottom and sometimes had to go high. Jason (Sides) got close a few times and I knew he would be a challenge. I would like to one day run NASCAR or Indy Cars but the World of Outlaws is where my heart is and I love running these races."

Larson added to an already impressive 2011 season that saw the youngster capture yet another career milestone, which included the famed Belleville Nationals at the Belleville (Kan.) Highbanks. Sides started and finished the night in second. The Bartlett, Tenn. native tried as hard as he could to get near Larson but in the end, he came up just short.

"Kyle just ran a fantastic race all night long," said Sides, who has four victories on the Outlaws tour this season. "Lap traffic was going to be our opportunity to catch up with him and try to pass him but we didn't get it done. Good night for all of our guys and congratulations to Kyle on a great win."

Andy Gregg appeared to be just as excited in Victory Lane as the race winner was. Gregg, another California driver, mounted numerous charges at Sides for the second spot and had to hold off Jac Haudenschild for to finish third.

"This is absolutely awesome," said Gregg. "This is only my fourth night in this #1x machine and second night with my own seat in it so this is just unbelievable. I can't thank all of these guys enough for everything they have done. We finished third at Gold Cup!"

Haudenschild would settle for the fourth position with Craig Dollansky rounding out the top-5. The Tony Stewart Racing tandem of Donny Schatz and Steve Kinser finished 6th and 7th with Lucas Wolfe, Jason Meyers and Tyler Wolf also in the Top-10. Larson's win made it a clean sweep of the Gold Cup weekend for drivers from Elk Grove, Calif. as Paul McMahan won the opening night of the two day show.

The Outlaws wrap up their second west coast tour at Antioch (Calif.) Speedway on Monday, September 12.
