Father's Day Special Friday Night
CHICO, CA (6-15-16) -Â This Friday night, June 17th, Silver Dollar Speedway is giving Dad a break. All dads will receive a $5.00 discount when purchasing a grandstand ticket. Mention you are a dad at the time of purchase and your ticket will just cost $9.00.
Point's race #9 will feature a classic 360 winged sprint car race with $1,500.00 to the winner. It's a non-point show and typical nearly 20 cars show up for the chance to race the famed quarter-mile oval. A nice mix of wingless spec sprints and economy sprints will thrill the sprint car fans also. If dad is into the door fender divisions then the Limited Late Models and Street Stocks will satisfy his needs. We anticipate a great night of racing where new heroes are made every Friday night.
Friday night general admission is $14.00 for adults (dads are $9.00), $12.00 for seniors and juniors. Children ages 6 - 11 are $6.00 while kids five and under are free. Pit gate opens at 4 PM with the front gate opening at 6 PM. Winged sprint car qualifying is scheduled for 6:30 PM.
All five divisions will run heat races and main events. The winged 360 sprint cars will single car qualify for their starting spots in the heat races. Auburn's Andy Forsberg and Roseville's Sean Becker are two of the Friday night sprint car stars who have confirmed they will be there.
A word to the wise, this is the last Friday night show for two weeks. The following two Friday nights are not scheduled races. We return on Monday night, July 4th, to host our annual gigantic fireworks display and auto races in celebration of our Freedom on Independence Day.
