Hobby Stocks and IMCA Sport Mods Returns at Chico in 2025
CHICO, Calif., March 27, 2025…Two key ingredients that have made Silver Dollar Speedway successful over the past few decades has been the strong support from Hobby Stock and IMCA Sport Mod drivers and teams. This year, both divisions return to the 2025 Silver Dollar Speedway Schedule.
SLC Promotions is adding a unique, one-of-a-kind prize, for the one driver who earns the most points in their division. The overall point champions will receive a pedal car, with graphics designed by Kevin Sharrah Designs.
The first official point race for both divisions is slated for Friday, April 11th. The Hobby Stocks get the nod during the Thursday and Friday night Silver Dollar Fair races. Those two races take place on May 22nd and May 23rd. On June 6th, both divisions will race that Friday night in honor of Bill Brownell and Tommy Herseth. On July 4th we celebrate America’s Independence with Fireworks and Fast Cars. This night will mark the third and final IMCA Sport Mod event while it will include the fourth of five nights for Hobby Stock. On July 18th, the Hobby Stock finale will take place during the Tyler Wolf Memorial.
As per last season, no passengers are allowed with the Hobby Stock division at Silver Dollar Speedway. We will follow the same rules as Marysville Raceway with the addition that Floaters are allowed at Chico. IMCA Sport Mods will follow the IMCA Sport Mod rule book.
All the Hobby Stock and IMCA Sport Mod racing at Silver Dollar Speedway will be broadcast live on FloRacing for 2025.
