Single Day Gold Cup Tickets on Sale August 15th; Camping is Now First Come First Serve
CHICO, Calif., Aug 14, 2023…The countdown to Gold Cup 69 has begun. The Nationally recognized event that takes place at the dirt track known as Silver Dollar Speedway is a little over three weeks away. The on-track racing begins Wednesday night, September 6th featuring the Sprint Car Challenge Tour with a special addition. Kyle Larson, the recent Knoxville Nationals winner, his second, and NASCAR Cup champion, is ready to showcase his talents back in front of his Northern California fans. Wednesday night of Gold Cup is Larson’s only scheduled race at Silver Dollar Speedway this season as he will face off against upwards of 50 other talented drivers on that night.
Thursday September 7th, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series takes center stage for three nights in a row. The greatest sprint car drivers in the world will be contending for the Saturday night $25,000 to win the 40-lap main event. Joining the Thursday and Friday night portion of the show is the Northwest Focus Midgets based out of Washington, and on Saturday night the NorCal Dwarf Cars will entertain the capacity crowd.

Prices are as follows. Reserved Seating, Wed. $30, Thurs $45, Friday $50, and Saturday $55. Pit passes can be purchased at the track on each race day. The Gold Cup ticket office will be open 10am-4pm daily starting Monday Sept 4th. All reserved and general admission tickets will also be available at the front gate each night beginning at 5 PM.
All tickets purchased on-line will be sent to the e-mail address provided when tickets are purchased. Tickets can also be scanned from your smart phone at the entrance of each night’s race. No tickets will be mailed out. Once tickets are purchased no refunds are given.
Gold Cup camping will open on Sunday, September 3rd, at 9 AM. Campers will enter through the front entrance of the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds and sign in at our designated camping information booth right off the main parking lot. Starting at 9 AM on that Sunday, staff will park campers in their reserved spots and will be there throughout the day, closing at 4 PM and returning each morning of that week to open back up.
Fans without camping reservations are encouraged to also come up on Sunday September 3rd because there are limited spots, not reserved, with hook ups that are available on a first come, first serve basis. There is also plenty of dry camping available at the fairgrounds and is also first come, first serve.
“With the high demand of camping spots, it shows that the anticipation for this year’s Gold Cup is at an all-time high,” said Troy Hennig representing SLC Promotions. “Once Brad, Kyle, and Colby took over promotions at the Silver Dollar Speedway, they all had the same vision which was to build back up the Gold Cup and offer an overall elevated experience for fans who travel from all over to attend this traditional event.”
Numerous events are being planned inside the Silver Dollar Pavilion during the week of Gold Cup. All grandstand and pit pass tickets get free admission into pavilion events, where the pavilion pub will be open all four days. Upcoming Gold Cup releases will showcase the events planned for before and after the racing action.
Fans are still able to secure their seats for all four nights of racing during the Gold Cup. The four nights cost $175.00 per seat and can be purchased on-line.
The 69th Gold Cup presented by Riebes NAPA Auto Parts is an annual four-day event built upon great racing, thousands of race fans, campers who take up the entirety of the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico, and nighttime parties. Dirt track racing kicks off on September 6th and continues through Saturday September 9th.
