Fast Cars and Freedom Set for July 4th at Silver Dollar Speedway
CHICO, Calif., June 27, 2023…The tradition of fast cars and fireworks continue this upcoming Tuesday, July 4th, at the Silver Dollar Speedway. Dirt track racing and the area’s best fireworks show are all wrapped up into one electrifying night for the entire family. Fans will be treated to grass roots racing on the quarter-mile high banked oval dirt track and then following the races, the sky will light up with big, beautiful, and bright fireworks as we come together as a community, and all celebrate America’s Independence.
A full field of 360-winged sprint cars are expected to thrill the fans of open-wheel racing. Joining them for the first time this season are the IMCA Sport Mods. The third division will feature the hustling Hobby Stocks, a local favorite for many years. The three divisions all offer their own unique style of racing at the Speedway. The drivers always go the extra effort when racing in front a large crowd on July 4th.
Throughout the night, the Speedway will play patriotic music over the newly installed sound system. Other amenities include great food that the entire family will enjoy. Families can also grab an assortment of drinks at the concession stands. The Farmers Brewing Co. beer booth has plenty of options on tap to quench the thirst of adults attending the show.
Following the race and once it gets dark enough, sit back and enjoy the always great and entertaining fireworks show. This is the perfect way to end your night with your family.
FAN INFORMATION
Front gate will open at 4 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the front box office starting at 4 PM. Fans can purchase tickets online at www.silverdollarspeedway.com Pricing for this event is as follows: Adults (18 & Up) $25.00, Juniors (13-17) $15.00, Childs (6-12) $10.00. Kids 5 and UNDER are FREE. Seating is general admission. Happy Hour with live DJ is 4 PM – 6 PM.
RACE INFORMATION
The pit gate will open at 2 PM. Mandatory Pit meeting 4 PM. Mud pack 4:30 PM. SLC Promotions will have a strict time schedule to help move the show along in a timely manner. With the fireworks on site, there will be no parking by turns three and four. Please use the entire back stretch and turns one and two. Please no parking in reserved spots.
RACE HAULERS
Race Teams: There is only one way to get into the pits this Tuesday. Use the Martin Luther King Pkwy and turn just past the Animal Hospital into a dirt lot. From there, head towards the back side of the pit area and enter through the gate. The pit shack will be just inside the gate. DO NOT GO TO THE MAIN ENTRANCE. DO NOT GO THROUGH THE COSTCO ENTRANCE.
