Golden State Challenge - King of California Series
Golden State Challenge Series begins final two weekends with
Ocean/Antioch double-header this Friday & Saturday
Just two weekends remain in the fight for the Golden State Challenge King of California Series championship and the
start of four races to go will begin with the final visit of the season to the Ocean Speedway in Watsonville on
Friday night. Following Ocean Speedway the series head will head for an event at the Antioch Speedway on Saturday,
which will also be the final visit of the season to the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds bullring.

Since the day he went from driver to team owner, John Taylor has been known
as one of the most successful car owners in Northern California sprint car racing with a Civil War title and two
straight Placerville Speedway championship on his resume. This year, factor in Colby Wiesz of Colfax into the mix as
Taylor's hired wheelman and the result is one of most the strongest teams in area sprint car racing.

Becker leads Civil War Race Series back home to Silver Dollar
Speedway for round eight
This Friday night the Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Sprint Car Series returns to action at John Padjen's Silver
Dollar Speedway in Chico. The event will be the eighth round of competition in the 15 race series for winged 360
cubic inch powered sprint cars and will mark the second appearance of the year at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds.

3rd Mark Forni Classic is a thriller; new Dad Sean Becker
brings home $5000 win
Sacramento's Sean Becker has scored his share of victories at
numerous tracks and different events. But Saturday night the former Silver Dollar Speedway and Golden State Series
Champion had his biggest night ever in his racing career. Becker won on Placerville Speedway's richest night, taking
home $5000 and the crystal trophy in the 3rd Annual Mark Forni Classic.

Golden State Challenge - King of California Series
Tim Kaeding Returns and Wins at Chico
New car, new team and the same result. Tim Kaeding won the
30-lap King of California Golden State Series main event on Saturday night at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. It
was Kaeding's first start aboard the Roth Motorsports #83jr and things could not of turned out better. Mark Abouzeid won the 20-lap dirt modified main event. It was his fourth win of the
year out of six starts during the Feather Falls Casino championship series.

Allard, Hirst and
Olschowka Winners at Chico
Chico's Jonathan Allard won his second 410
sprint car main event of the season during the Feather Falls Casino Friday night
championship series. Kyle Hirst was the winner in the wingless main
event. Jeff Olschowka won an action packed street stock main event. The
night was sponsored by Moore Insurance and Financial Services, Inc. and
Scrubs Car Wash of Chico. Racing will continue on Saturday night with the
King of California Golden State Series along with the dirt modifieds.

Silver Dollar Speedway

Challenge Series
The start of the final three weekends of racing will begin this Saturday
night when the Golden State Challenge King of California 410 Series makes
its way to the Silver Dollar Speedway for the second week in a row. Grass
Valley native Brad Sweet became the 11th different winner of the GSC season
last weekend and with him heading back to the USAC wars this week, it will
open the door for other hopefuls on Saturday.

pays $5000 to win Saturday for 3rd Annual Mark Forni Classic
Promoters, fans and drivers pay tribute to the man who said what he would do
and did what he said when it came to supporting the community, the county
fair and local auto racing.
This Saturday night will be a special
night at Placerville Speedway as the evening will pay tribute to the late
Mark Forni. At the end of the night a member of the Pacific Sprint division
will take home the richest victory of the year as the business community has
come together once again to bring the win to an impressive $5000.

The theme of this weekends races at Silver
Dollar Speedway will feature the return of two prominent female racers in
the winged 410 sprint car division at Chico. Oroville's Destiney Hays and Penngrove's Alissa Geving will both
be racing Friday night at the Silver Dollar Speedway. Joining these two open
wheel stars in the female ranks will be Emalee Ramirez of Yuba City. Ramirez
is in her rookie season at Chico and has experienced the highs and lows of
learning how to handle the powerful winged sprint cars. Adding to the female
racing theme is Heather Bartlett and Reyna Krueger of Orland.

Another Two Nights of Racing This Weekend at Chico
After
a busy July 4th weekend of racing another two day show is scheduled this Friday and Saturday night at Silver Dollar
Speedway in Chico. Both nights will feature the 410-winged sprint cars. On Friday night we will host points race #15
for the Feather Falls Casino Championship Series. Joining the 410 sprints that night will be the Street Stocks and
wingless sprints. On the following night, July 12, the King of California Golden State Series returns for their
point race #18. This series competed at the track last Saturday night with 37 sprint cars in attendance. Joining the
racing on Saturday will be the dirt modifieds. On Friday night Moore Insurance and Financial Inc. will sponsor the
night of racing. The 410-sprint cars will once again race for a $2,000 prize for winning. On Saturday night, Fast
Trak Wings will add extra prize money and bonus products to the top finishing 410 sprint drivers in the main event.

Placerville Police Officers seek entries for 35th annual
Destruction Derby
On Sunday, August 17, smashing, crashing and total destruction will be the name of the
game at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds as the Placerville Police Officers Association presents the 35th annual
Hangtown Destruction Derby at Placerville Speedway. This annual event that benefits local charities will take place
in conjunction with "Morrison Concrete Kids Night" at Placerville Speedway on the eve of the event, Saturday August
16.
