North Bay welcomes the “Big Show” as Civil War Series rolls into Petaluma Speedway
From mid July until mid August, the Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War
Race Series is amidst its busiest segment of the annual campaign, four events in four straight weeks at four
different tracks. This Saturday, California’s premier series for winged 360 cubic inch powered sprint cars heads to
the North Bay to compete on the lighting fast Petaluma Speedway.


King Me!
The King of California Golden State 410-sprint car series comes to a close this Friday and Saturday night at Silver
Dollar Speedway. The 22-race schedule ends in dramatic fashion with high car counts expected and extra prizes for
drivers and fans. On Saturday night, July 26, a new champion will be crowed the King of California on the front
straight.


Golden State Challenge Series set for big finale weekend this
Friday & Saturday
An exciting weekend of competition is on tap as the Golden State Challenge King of California Series will put an end
to the 2008 racing season this Friday & Saturday with the annual two-night finale at the Silver Dollar Speedway in
Chico. A big weekend is expected with extra money and special items on the line beginning with Friday’s festivities
that will pay $4,000 to win the A-main, courtesy extra money being kicked in by Specialized Parts Planet.

Tim Kaeding holds off Brent Kaeding in Antioch for 39th career
GSC main event win
Just one night after Tyler Walker got his fourth Golden
State Challenge Series win of the season, San Jose’s Tim Kaeding came back on Saturday at the Antioch Speedway and
held off all challengers to pick up his fifth feature event victory of the year with the series, moving him back out
in front of the wins column.

In the sprint car division, Colby Wiesz won his 4th feature event of the year aboard
his John Taylor Motorsports #35 sprint car that continues to lead the point standings here. Wiesz celebrated in
victory lane Saturday night with Tom Tilford who won his seventh victory in the Pure Stock division, Dan Brown Jr.
of Nevada City who posted his 11th win in the Pro Stock class and Keith Bloom who won his second event in as many
weeks in the wingless sprint cars.

Los Angeles driver Tyler Walker took the lead on the
12th lap of the main event and withstood a late race challenge from San Jose’s Tim Kaeding to score his fourth
Golden State Challenge Series main event victory of the season on Friday night at the Ocean Speedway.

Elk Grove’s Kyle Larson became the first repeat winner of the 2008
Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Series Friday night at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. In the eighth round of the 15
race series, Larson led all but six laps of the 30-lap feature event to pick up his second straight victory on the
banked quarter mile track aboard the Vertullo Racing #83v sprint car.
