Golden State Challenge Series set for big finale weekend this Friday & Saturday
An exciting weekend of competition is on tap as the Golden State Challenge King of California Series will put an end to the 2008 racing season this Friday & Saturday with the annual two-night finale at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. A big weekend is expected with extra money and special items on the line beginning with Friday’s festivities that will pay $4,000 to win the A-main, courtesy extra money being kicked in by Specialized Parts Planet.

Tim Kaeding holds off Brent Kaeding in Antioch for 39th career GSC main event win
Just one night after Tyler Walker got his fourth Golden State Challenge Series win of the season, San Jose’s Tim Kaeding came back on Saturday at the Antioch Speedway and held off all challengers to pick up his fifth feature event victory of the year with the series, moving him back out in front of the wins column.

Tyler Walker picks up 4th GSC win of season on Friday night at Ocean Speedway
 Los Angeles driver Tyler Walker took the lead on the 12th lap of the main event and withstood a late race challenge from San Jose’s Tim Kaeding to score his fourth Golden State Challenge Series main event victory of the season on Friday night at the Ocean Speedway.

Golden State Challenge Series begins final two weekends with Ocean/Antioch double-header this Friday & Saturday
Just two weekends remain in the fight for the Golden State Challenge King of California Series championship and the start of four races to go will begin with the final visit of the season to the Ocean Speedway in Watsonville on Friday night. Following Ocean Speedway the series head will head for an event at the Antioch Speedway on Saturday, which will also be the final visit of the season to the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds bullring.

Tim Kaeding Returns and Wins at Chico
New car, new team and the same result. Tim Kaeding won the 30-lap King of California Golden State Series main event on Saturday night at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. It was Kaeding's first start aboard the Roth Motorsports #83jr and things could not of turned out better.

How Sweet It Is
Brad Sweet was coming back home to Northern California for a quick weekend get-away from his Indiana residence and to recharge his batteries for the upcoming USAC non-wing sprint week. He was also scheduled to drive the Rod Tiner #83 Shark Racing Engines winged sprint car for two nights of racing at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. Sweet entered the weekend with two career sprint car wins at Chico. Both of them came in a 360 sprint car when he won both nights of a two day show.

Golden State Challenge - King of California Series
Brent Kaeding wins Pombo/Sargent Classic for 10th time
When it comes to the Pombo/Sargent Classic no driver has been more dominant than Campbell’s Brent Kaeding and he showed that once again this past Saturday night at the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway by dominating the 30 lap feature, en route to his third straight win at the event and 10th overall. It also marked his very first Golden State Challenge Series win of the season and first since June 11 of last year.
