Welcome to the Gold Cup "Experience"
On behalf of the whole gang here at John Padjen Motorsports it is with true pleasure we welcome all of you to Silver Dollar Speedway for the 50th Anniversary edition of the Gold Cup Race of Champions.

Once again the Silver Dollar Fairground has transformed into a city of recreational vehicles, tents and even the simplest of temporary housing, sleeping. While Jurassic Park was once referred to as an "experience" rather than a movie same goes for this deal, your amidst not only a race but an experience of a lifetime to even the rookie race fan.

Pacific Sprint Cup heats up the action tonight for 50th Gold Cup
The 50th Anniversary of the Gold Cup Race of Champions kicks off with the Annual Pacific Sprint Cup Invitational featuring the always exciting Pacific Sprint Cars of the Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Sprint Car Series. The traveling series will be joined by the Silver Dollar Speedway Dirt Modifieds in their final championship event of the season.

Known as the crown jewel of the Hoosier Tires California Sprint Car Civil War Race Series, Wednesday’s event in one that nearly every driver who competes in the competitive Civil War campaign aims to qualify for. Out of the 120 different drivers who have earned points on the Civil War trail in 2003, only the top 32 competitors in the current series point standings are eligible for this prestigious event which boasts a purse nearing 16 and a $3000 victory check to accompany the title of the "Pacific Sprint Cup" champion to the eventual winner of the 30-lap feature race.

If your a regular to the Gold Cup Race of Champions then you already know this is more than a sprint car race, it is simply an experience. The Silver Dollar Fairground transforms into a city on wheels over the next four days and let us warn you, this is no quiet bedroom town by far.

The 2003 Gold Cup Race of Champions features a number of non-racing activities to pass the time between the big nights of racing on tap in the next few days. Whether your in the mood to swing a golf club or swing a partner in a dance contest there is something for everyone here over the next four days.
