Kinser dominates Thursday A-feature
Heading into the World of Outlaws California swing, series point leader Steve Kinser of Bloomington, Indiana decided he would come into the Gold Cup Race of Champions with a "great attitude" in hopes it may bring him success in the event where a Saturday night victory has eluded him for a decade.

All new Miss Gold Cup contest tonight
Last year may have been a bust, but this year to be bigger and better
With one night of preliminary action in the history book its time for the non-racing events to begin on the Silver Dollar Fairground. Tonight will be home to the highlight of after-race activities with the Joe Hunt Magnetos/Les Schwab Tires Chili Festival featuring the all new Miss Gold Cup Bikini contest, always a big hit in the pavilion following tonight’s racing action.

Sohnrey Wins Race but McDaniel is the Champion
Durham's Mike Sohnrey led all twenty laps to capture his sixth main event of the year during the final dirt modified race of the season at Silver Dollar Speedway on Wednesday night. For Sohnrey the win was bitter sweet because his arch rival all season long, Marysville's Randy McDaniel, finished second in the main event and by doing so, McDaniel secured his fourth track championship at Chico.
