Sean Becker is coming off his second win of the year. Becker continues to hold a commanding lead (44 points) over Andy Forsberg. Forsberg has continued to climb up the point championship ladder after an early season mishap. Brad Bumgarner sits in the third spot. The tightest battle is between fourth place Michael Tarter, fifth place Keith Bloom and sixth spot Bud Walberg. Only seven points separate these three drivers.
Rowdy McClenon holds an eleven point advantage over Ron LaPlant in the Perma-Zyme wingless series. Don Emery sits in the third spot. Rookie Taylor Nelson sits fourth. Nathan Johnson rounds out the top five. This will mark the sixth point race of the year for the Perma-Zyme wingless series.
Orland's Jake Vantol didn't get his sixth win of the year this past Friday night but still enjoyed a successful night. He comes into this Friday night with a healthy 37-point lead over Shawn Smith. Mark Newman, Kevin Ward and Richard Workman are all on the heels of Smith.
Kyle Standley will head into Chico this Friday night with the point lead. Standley has been solid all season and looks to hold his advantage over Tony Richards and Dusty Barton.
Two wins in a row for Sacramento's Brian Compton as he continues to lead the Hobby Stock charge. David Pierce has been a great addition to the Hobby Stock series and sits in the second spot.
